Hi, my name is Kimberly Venetz, aka DJ Alkimist, and I am a DJ, musician, and music producer based out of Seattle, Washington, New York City, and Washington, DC. You can catch me spinning everything from sporting events to corporate events to private parties and more!

I treasure my relationships with my clients. Some of my clients include Microsoft, US Women’s National Soccer Team, Los Angeles Lakers/NBA, D.C. United and MLS, Nordstrom, Tiffany & Co., W Hotels, Nike, The Washington Nationals MLB team, The Smithsonian, MGM, The Washington Ballet, National Museum of Women in the Arts, Facebook, NASCAR, Intercontinental Hotels, Momofuku, and Lyft. I’ve also DJ’d fashion shows for Armani, Michael Kors, Kate Spade, Hugo Boss, Diane von Furstenberg, and DKNY.

I spin at DC’s best clubs, including Echostage, The Anthem, Tropicalia, and Soundcheck. I have opened for Steve Angello, Wiz Khalifa, Cash Cash, Anevo, Maren Morris, Au Revoir Simone, and Zella Day. I’ve also performed with DJ Spooky, including a performance at the Brooklyn Museum.

I began my career in music and entertainment as a classically trained violist. I studied under several well known teachers, including Paul Neubauer and Misha Rosenker. I also taught myself to play violin. I played viola in the Brooklyn Symphony Orchestra for several years. Between gigging out as a DJ and as a classical musician, I have performed at thousands of private events.
